Dr. Santora & Drew pre-surgery. My favorite picture of the day. This Doctor is a rock star! We love him. He has been Drew's Dr since about 18 months of age and performed the last surgery that Drew had when he was 2.
This surgery was really similar to the one he had when he was little. They cut the tendons in the back of his legs and reattached them. They also did that on a tendon in his right foot. Then he gets casted for 5 weeks to lengthen the tendons. He will also be sporting some new braces (DAFO's) when the casts are removed. The surgery was a success and Drew truly is such a tough kid!
So happy to finally be going home! Thank you to our friends, neighbors, and Grandma who helped with Ethan and Sydney and meals, etc. We are so blessed!
